Sigh…

The writing was just… really poor imo—cool concept for the ML being a sociopath, but it wasn’t handled well at all??? Even the way :Spoiler: MC’s friend was depressed and committed s*1c1d3 felt more like a poor plot device than anything… I think ML should have realized his feelings by chapter 60-ish so he could spend the rest of that time trying to make it up to MC for his abusive behavior. Rather, we got a grape scene in like 89, followed by his rushed apology and confession— and then everything was magically resolved. That irked me. So many heavy and serious topics used as cheap was to explain things and further the plot! It could have had so much more depth… wasn’t an awful read, but it did leave much to be desired as far as plot goes. Would not reread tbh, nor recommend unless you’re bored and want to rage over characters who are incredibly stupid, and refuse to communicate.

(Also MC was annoying because he was so indecisive? I really didn’t understand his motives at first and even when he finally admitted he likes ML it was under duress? So like did he actually like him? Or was he just guilty?)
