Exactly but TJ stans are interpreting as he means he wont repeat the same past with TJ. They think he means they will start fresh
Ian is focusing on himself and choosing to heal. Heal wat? His traumas and toxic past. Who was behind those? TJ. If he was going to TJ, he wouldn't be heading towards healing himself only to go back to the culprit who was the root of all his toxic past. There is no reason for him to heal and go back to Tj. And He clearly said he is not going to his past and yesterday's chapter he clearly said he is not going to Tj.
