also, i kind of agree(?) with your take. maybe MC likes ML bc he is what MC is not. both are alphas but MC is more reserved, shy, aloof type who keeps to himself, is in a respectable business and comes from a old money family while ML's family is fairly new money and he's super bad boy and speaks his mind and not afraid of anything. maybe he's attracted to that aspect of his personality.

I see some comments unconvinced abt why MC is so smitten for the ML and while we’re still early in the story I’m sure cupid’s arrow really does strike like that sometimes. Even with limited interactions, it could be enough to strum the chord of a heart and that person might be the knight type that commits fully. Not saying whether it’s wise or not but it’s a true archetype so personally I don’t really fault MC for it. In fact, it’s intriguing to watch him wrestle with himself about it and it seems that now his meddling (without communication) made things more complicated for ML and so angst and conflict are on the horizon…I’m seated ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
