Lol I kinda understand the ML a bit because the girl he likes, the mc, is just so innocent, cute and petite and defenseless-looking (those big eyes and small neck, OMG). And it's not even just for appearances... she really is like that (super pure of heart), so much so that even I feel an impulse like I wanna shield her from "all the wickedness and pervertedness in this world," hahaha.
The FL died bc of him on her first life. She knew he hated her. Her family also dislikes her. They all put the blame on her and let her die. NOW, knowing all that, would you trust them or think that they care for you? I doubt it.
To me it makes sense that she can't fathom the idea of him liking her, especially when they were supposed to divorced + she leave to live in a very secluded and far away village to escape her DEATH.
She wants to live quietly without dying young, and she almost did it, but now she's back to square one bc of the empire, and her fiancé does not communicate with her. He acts possessive (to her, it looks like his mad or being weird) with her, but what can she do when he has much more power than hers. She won't question him. She doesn't want to DIE AGAIN.
I know that and im not denying that but me personally I find it frustrating. Like I totally get the trust issues but theres limits sometimes yk. But ofc everyone has their way of reacting to this situation and I was just sayibg mine
Yeah and besides a few interactions when they were younger they’ve hardly ever met. They’re basically strangers. So what is she gonna trust the past that she’s been using to save/change her life, or the actions of a fiancé she thought she had long broken up? It’s probably only been a few weeks or at most a couple of months since she started working too, so is she supposed to stake her life on that assumption, especially since it’s common for nobility to hide their true emotions/intentions.
On the flip side ML doesn’t really know her either and has put her up on a pedestal based of a few words from when they were children.
He doesn’t seem to let on that he knows much about how she thinks what she truly desires. This is obvious when you look at how he dragged her back into his life against her will, when she would have been safer if he had actually annulled their engagement and kept her away from the capital. You can tell that he does care for her, but I think he’s taken that and put it above her actual wants and needs.
Yeah the current king and queen don’t seem all that great either, they’re basically tyrants as well jut more in the form of a black company/exploiters. Let’s not forget she’s being threatened with her life to work against her own will, it’s also the ML who put her in this position. (〜￣△￣)〜

All that simply because the female lead is frustrating as she keeps on misunderstanding the male lead's actions to simple kindness. GURL THAT MAN LOVES YOU, WANTS YOU AND IS SUPER POSSESSIVE OF YOU. Not only that but also the fact that she still relies on what was in the story after SO many things changed like girl bffr please I beg.
And don’t even get me started with the male lead’s actions too like wtf is this man doinggg. The way hes acting is soo toxic and it pisses me off how the FL doesn’t notice shit. ATP make the enemy the fucking male lead cuz wth is this.
Also with the king and queen thinking about the wants of the female lead to the point she feels pressured to actually say what she thinks like omd pleasee all this makes me sooo mad god forbid
