I come back here after further collecting my thoughts: the plot was good; it was charming to say the least, however, I don’t understand why the main goal of the characters at the end of each other is to conduct in sexual intercourse as opposed to getting a glimpse of a life that Ennid couldn’t have experienced in Chelsea. Am I reading into it too much? I mean, hell, I know that works like this commodify queer content as something to consume and let your primal carnage take over while mindlessly reading, clinging to the pages soiled with lasciviousness; all of the plot goes to waste when stories are just portraying queer characters that ultimately boils down to just lusting for each other. Don’t get me wrong–I liked the story; it just disappoints me how it ended on that pivotal part in their relationship where they can finally be with each other and not see each other rot from the poison of the dragon’s blood. I’m not saying that couples shouldn’t be bereft of any sexual activities nor passion—what i’m saying is the ending could have been considered scant as compared to other historical shoujo manhwas.

historical shoujo has been the only straight manhwas that i’ve ever come to like as someone who only read BL, i’m overjoyed at the thought of more historical shounen ai being released.
