I actually mentioned this before in a WS discussion on tiktok if Wet Sand weren’t a manhwa but a novel with no visual storytelling, I wonder if people would still like TJ’s character. In books, writers have to be very specific and descriptive about characters emotions and actions to help readers fully understand, feel and imagine the story.

Fr some smut scenes are really unnecessary for the plot and sometimes it’s just for fan service.

To me this story isnt about Ian falling in love with someone new but actually discovering what love is and I think thats why TJ stans have this belief TJIAN will he end game because of the focus on their relationship. You can't call what Ian and TJ have love because its rooted in such negative emotions, and love is not a negative emotion and if TJ is all Ian has known, how can that be love. He doesn't have any bonds with any one else. TJ is is friend, lover and family and that is so sad.

I view it differently. I think Doyak is showing us all of this because its not easy to just end a 20 year relationship (situationship in this case) easily but its not impossible.
And its funny how they believe because its 19 years it makes it stronger. NO! its actually even more sad because one person has been unhappy and miserable that long and they really think its out of love and not habit.
This is Ians story and the influence Jo and fugly face have in his life. Its not just another love story but sometimes it seems that is all TJ stans reduce his character "TJs love interest"
I think dyk already showed the EG but not confirming yet, chap 98 is pseudo breakup with Ian confession of love to Jo and Jo also wanted to confess his love for Ian but chose not to say it. They can’t twist what is CANON that JoIan love each other.

Yeah, Ian and TJ will meet for sure for final closure after Ian’s self-healing journey. I mean they are still important for each other, let’s not erase that. I think they’re looking at the color symbolism like the “yellow” as for TJ but personally, I think the yellow color for TJ is for promotional purposes but not in the story. I often see the yellow color in Jo’s panels a lot. And compared to Jo and Ian’s eyes dyk always highlighted their eyes’ color blue and purple.
Yeah they definitely need to meet for closure, but not reunite in a sense that they will get back together.
