I'm kind of glad those two don't die despite what they've done, if that makes sense??? Angenas seem to have generationally set their children up for failure by teaching them to be vile, conniving and manipulative opportunists. Bellesac's an ass but there's no way he deserved execution after basically being goaded by his mom into bringing the dagger and constantly trying to be with Astana (at the very least the mom has shown that she cares for him ig). Meanwhile it was interesting seeing how Astana for a while now also was having the right idea about how his mom had too much of a grip on him and how he didn't like it and tried to rebel against her in his own little ways, but he was already just too entangled with her that it's hard to get rid of influence that easily

Angenas seem to have generationally set their children up for failure by teaching them to be vile, conniving and manipulative opportunists. They're both horrible people but that's because of their parents' influence, Astana at least had the right idea that the empress was being too controlling to him and tried to rebel in his own way, but he was already too involved with her and influence is hard to shake off especially if she's your mother

Bellsac has two siblings, Lorraine who is in another country, and a younger brother who Tia sent to the academy because he was a nice boy. Then, besides Tia and the twins, there is the other younger cousin who is the son of Galahad’s second brother. He just fades into obscurity I think? Unrelated to any prince politics

"fades into obscurity" I get it though. when there are too many characters, they're bound to be forgotten especially if they seldom appear and unimportant to the plot. Still, it's good to hear that those brats get to live despite everything.

Ps. I pity Astana and Bellesac at one point. Because at the end of the day, weren't they set up by their own parents' evil ways of parenting? I mean, a child is like a blank piece of paper. Fill it up with a color, and that's how they appear. They deserve better parents, and their parents deserve better parents too.

That's what I've been thinking too Their families basically set them up for failure. The way that even Astana was growing tired of his mom controlling him and wanting an out in some way but not being able to bc he's already too integrated into the mindset she placed on him was sad
