Pregnant husband running away from home at the first sign of trouble and disappearing off the face of the planet for the second time... would be grounds for divorce AND trying to get full custody eventually, because that's about the most selfish thing a parent can do. I would not be able to trust him after that, as a partner OR as a parent. Babe, you don't get to take that child away from his dad too. He deserves to have a choice in this. The ML's only mistake was caring more about his family than his career, and like. Yeah, he should've talked to his partner about the suppressants, but... can you blame him when he had reason to not trust the MC with this? The guy was terrified of him disappearing again. And he did.
On that note... authors, can we please, PLEASE stop making omegas run away from their partners and/or children for selfish reasons? Why did THIS become a popular trope in omegaverse (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
