SPOILER
The female lead finds out ML is actually the dead brother and at first she's like okay then she feels super betrayed which is understandable. However, instead of communicating how hurt she is she just runs away... she stays at a small town where another man falls in love with her. She finds out she's pregnant and ML finally finds her and instead of forcing her to come back he's like I'm actually happy you left because that meand you're finally thinking for yourself and is really caring. The FL basically thinks he's just acting and doesn't trust him or believe him. Things happen, she comes back with ML because she doesn't want anything bad to happen to the people in the town esp the guy that's in love with her. She thinks ML will hurt them... idk why. Then she's all quiet and planning her escape again. The guy that's in love with her finds a way to communicate with her and helps her escape the second time. She pretends to be happy and over the moon with ML during this time, but she's just pretending. The ML knows she's planning her escape and is letting her because in his mind he can just go find her but he is quite sad. The day she escapes she was supposed to go with ML to an arena. The ML is like outside doing stuff and FL escapes. The arena falls and when FL hears she's like "omg... I think... I love him". Like no shit girl. Anyways she decides to stay and go look for him in rubble and then finds out he's alive and they both tell each other they love each other and then it ends.. yup. Then there's some fuck ass side stories about how FL still doesn't trust ML even though she says he's perfect. They invite the girl that helped her escape and that girl is like "wow you really love your husband and he loves you, you must feel at ease because you're finally not being mistreated" and FL thinks wow omg she's right I never thought of it like that.... like girl I need you to put more than two braincells together. Then it ends with them being happy or whatever and her naming their son his real name. It was so dumb. Their relationship never progressed, we have no idea why the dad acted the way he did (it was hinted that he felt emo after she escaped), what happened to the princess and the artist, what happened to the guy that's in love with her. I think the author did a good job at writing the male lead, but female lead irked me. At times she seemed really strong and smart and then she seemed dumb and weak. I dont know why she decided to escape like I feel like she could've just communicated. It wasn't one of those stories where she was being mistreated, so the escapes felt weird af. It felt like author was trying to pack all these tropes into the story and came off terrible which pisses me off because I had high hopes.
Thank you for this, I was feeling iffy on weither or not I would continue. To put it simply i'm not finishing this cuz wtf??? Such back and forth for nothing and also he is the "dead" brother is such a weird thing for what seems like no reason. Lastly she talks about telling him the truth and trusting him but doesn't show him the diary?!?!? Like that is such a big thing that is weighing on your mind and yet you can't tell him. I'm glad i'm not gonna waste my time anymore.

I finished reading the novel and I think I'm going to drop this... The beginning was really good but the ending left me so freaking unsatisfied. Both the MC and ML are weird and crazy with no real communication. Ugh.
