Nah i dont think that. The ML definitely had a redemption and made up for his behavior we see right now in the webtoon. She is the one that just keeps getting worse and more stupid with every single situation. He keeps taking care of her health, gets her warm clothes, takes her out to see different places and helps her get her health back and gives her gifts. She keeps lying and runs away with a man the ML warned her to be careful about. She doesn't believe anything her own friends and attendants tell her(that ML is worried about her) and instead believes EVERYTHING a stranger tells her (again, ML warned her to not believe him).
That is....crazy. I mean I already knew she was densed when she sent letter to her uncle about her improve health KNOWING VERY DAMN WELL that he HATES her and USE her. To think that she would trust a king whom she meet not long ago than her own husband who help her cure her chronic illness and care her. I hate the ML at first too but the FL is too pushover and stupid to trust a stranger than her husband. Thanks for the spoiler. Now it ruin my day and expectations

Damn that sucks. I actually thought I found some good angst but to think that until the very end the fl keeps secrets about meeting (accidentally or what not) with another man just because he told her so, and keeps believing a stranger over her husband who btw proved his heart to her is insufferable.
Wait a min! I understand that she's way too dumb and believes the king after she's pregnant and worried for her child but what about before that ? Why did she agree to keep quiet about meeting him while swimming? Why did she agree to take the cost off , walk intimately with him? Why did she lie for the king (about taking off the coat- that she wanted it ) ? Does she not care about being truthful and faithful? Or does she still doubt the ml and not take the marriage seriously? Does she really care about him and like him atp ? If yes why lie...... please give me the spoiler about this. Thanks.
So basically there was one scene where the ML told FL that he 'trusts' the King, because they grew up together and even if he was a bully, the ML believed that the King would never betray him (or smth like that, i can't really remember the reason) and then the FL makes that single thing her whole personality, always telling herself that if she gains the Kings trust and friendship that ML will trust her too (she still thinks he doesn’t trust/ like her, even though he keeps doing nice and sweet gestures) and whenever the King tells her something she believes the King instead of ML or her friends/maid BECAUSE the ML 'trusts' him. In reality while reading I had the feeling that it was FL that never trusted and believed the ML so I guess it's fair to say she never cared enough about ML to believe anything he said. And the fact that after everything (ML saving her from the palace and saving their baby), she still didn't trust him and ran away AGAIN, she definitely doesn't care about ML and no matter how many times he saved her life.
Yeah I'm totally disgusted bro lol. I mean you want your husband to trust you but you lie to him...to gain the trust of someone your husband trusts ? You like going through the other man..rather than directly through your husband? Is she 12 years old or what ? No, not MLs, she became the Duchess of her and FLs house (the plan for her was to get married too and then her husband would become the Duke but she wanted a husband like the ML, because apparently everyone in the story except the FL saw how much the Ml cared about FL #－.－)) but the King did lie to the FL after she ran away with him and told FL that her cousin is marrying the ML and FL believed it （￣へ￣）

At least he changed and learned from his mistakes and actually had decent character development. While the FL whole personality revolved around doing whatever a stranger(the King) told her to do; betray her own husband again and again, lie to him over every little thing and never trust him, even after his decent character development.
I'm all for strong FLs and making sure trash MLs suffer and get what they deserve, but for this one I'm 100% on the MLs side.
He learned and grew as the story progressed, while the FL got more stupid with every chapter and never gave him a chance. (And yes, the ML did give her a chance, many in fact, and grew to TRUST and love her).
Again, I'm all for a good revenge and all, but I'm going to defend and actually stand by this stories ML.
He is writtten in a reasonable and realistic way, he made mistakes and grew from them.
She only keeps making mistakes and gets more naive and keeps acting like a child who wants her parents approval by doing what a stranger tells her to do (which is obviously not the way to do it).

A few things i can remember:
The king or emperor or what he is, falls in love with FL, and they met when FL was swimming in the lake and he asked her to keep it a secret from ML and she did. Mind you its a place no one except FL or ML is allowed in. She keeps getting manipulated and used by the Ki g in so many stupid and irritating way and keeps everything a secret WHILE HOPING TO GAIN MLs trust.
It may be something insignificant but there was one scene where ML tells FL to dress up warmly because its cold, and then leaves. King stays behind with FL and tells her to take of her coat (disgusting perv) and walk closely with her in front of knights and servants bla bla and ML is annoyed she put down her coat and instead of saying she did it because King told her to she protects King and says she wanted to do it.
King keeps thinking about how 'pretty' she is and is like ML stole this women who was meant to be mine!!??? Bro you ordered them to marry. AND MIND YOU, THE ONLY REASON SHE IS SO 'PRETTY' IS BECAUSE ML SAVED HER AND KEEPS FEEDING HER AND TELLING HER TO DRESS UP WARMLY AND LOOKING AFTER HER.
King tells FL to call his nickname when they are alone and FL again does what he wants.
While she is pregnant. The King lies and says ML will kill her child if it doesn't have black hair and FL believes him, instead of COMMUNICATING with her husband WHO SAVED HER LIFE. (There is a secret birth document thing where its document that baby who dont have the families 'main hair and eye color' get offed but ML without even knowing what his baby would look like wrote in the document that no matter the appearance or gender, the first baby would be his heir. KING found that document and wrote 'pathetic' under MLs note and lied to FL that ML will hurt her baby.)
She lies to ML and stages her death to run away, guess where she runs? The King.
She gives birth at the palace and guess what. King tells her baby died and she BELIEVES HIM AGAIN.
King keeps lying, he tells her that FL sister is going to marry ML and that ML already held her funeral or smth and FL of course believes him. Meanwhile ML hasn't stopped looking for FL for MONTHS, no sleep, no food.
But of cousins she trusts whatever the King tells her and does anything he tells her and divorces ML.
ML finds out their baby is alive and immediately without hesitation saved it, and protects it and feeds and takes care of it himself. (There is a nanny so he didn’t have to but he WANTS to.)
Guess what happens next, King declares as a royal order or something that he'll marry FL and she THANK GOD says she wont marry. (Her mom is alive and tries taking her out the palace, FL wants to live a commoner life with her mother but King orders every servant to lovk her up)
During a banquet in December(King wanted to propose to FL in front of all nobles and oder guests) the ML gets stabbed while protecting FL and she actually takes care of ML this time. King gets jealous and tells her to get away from ML but FL ignores him and help treat ML wound.
They somehow escape palace and return to Duke estate.
ML tells her their baby is save and alive, it as only FL hair and eye color.
A few other stuff happens she tries running away AGAIN because the baby is actually a boy. The nanny had lied to ML when he first saved it because she thought he would be more kind if its a girl or something like that. So when FL learns its a boy she takes baby and tries running away again because she asked ML in such a vague and stupid way if he wants a male baby and he say no(because he doesn't want her to die in childbirth) But like I swear its not ML fault, she keeps saying things in such a stupid and illogical way, of course ML would answer like that.
ML found her, annoyed she tried running away again. She say the baby is a boy and begs him to let them live. Ml shows her his note, that his first child would be his heir and NOW SHE BELIEVES HIM.
King declares war, saying that ML kidnapped his fiance.
A few other stuff happens and FL father is alive too. He thinks ML kidnapped FL and goes to rescue her but FL mother finds him first and they tell him everything that happened.
War happens, and because its such a cliche and illogical plot it's the FL, IN THE MIDDLE OF WAR, who hurts and subdues the King.
A few other stuff happens and then another useless and stupid plot emerges.
FL uncle, the one who is obsessed with having a male heir with red hair, tries kidnapping FLs boy.
It fails of course and FL cousin is the new Duchess of their house.
When they return ML declares them a separate Kingdom or something.
I SWEAR THE ML MAY BE A LITTLE DENSE AND BAD AT COMMUNICATING BUT ITS THE FL WHO IS STUPID AND COMPLETELY USELESS. I'm normally the first to defend characters who where abused and cant trust others but she is so completely dumb and naive its absolutely unbearable.
Another thing is, the King was the one who burned FL parents village and he also stabbed FL mother, but he of course lied to FL and said it was ML(he was also there when that happened but unlike the King, he was there to clean up the mess and he actually was the one who saved FL mother.) AND OF COUSE FL BELIEVES HIM AND BLAMES ML FOR HER BAD CHILDHOOD.
There was one thing I liked, there is a guy, a author FL likes and ML gets jealous, but THANK GOD he didn't falls for the maid of FL instead.
My head hurt while reading and writing this because the FL is so annoying and dumb it's really frustrating.
There is another plot twist, ML and the King are twins. And because the King had the blong hair and blue eyes he was send to the palace (the Queen never had blonde male babies) but he was apparently the older one of the twins and keeps blaming ML for taking away his birth right, the Duchy, the love and family of the Duke and Duchess and the castle ML lives in. King knew from the beginning and used to take away all the toys from ML and bully him by saying he is the Prince blabla.
