Imo there are only like max 20 princess/nobility/saintess manwhas that are actually worth anyone's time. Most of it is just a copy paste of a more competent artist's idea.
I cant argue with your first point, only thing i have to blatantly disagree with is that there are like 20 properly good series. Ive been into this sh for 6 years and ive read at least 3 thousand maybe even more. I wouldnt have continued reading if there were only a few good stories out there. You just have to keep looking!

Yeah... I do have to agree about the 20some proper ones... because there's just so much as different stereotypes we can have... after the 1-2 big ones on it all that comes after feel like some sort of repetition... just like this one have a couple similarities with "I'm a Fake Saintess but the Gods are Obsessed"...
But I guess most of all we are getting tired of the good girl getting inside the villainess... because they just turn into the the good girl heroine mc we got tired of years ago. At some point it starts feeling like it's all more of the same...
What I do to feel it a bit less is to kinda interchange the genres, if it's ch kr or jp and sometimes go for novels...
Quality-wise... as long as the art is not too sloppy, the characters and plot are not too dumb and it ain't too red flaggy I'm ok...
I feel you. I would read more korean novels but some translations are abysmal and my brain is decomposing real time when I read them. I also don't like to wait for novel updates much.
I've been reading more western classic romance books, because those are either written in english or translated by a professional.
Ngl... I've spent so many years reading chinese mtl novels that it doesn't even bother me anymore... it was a long ride tbh... from finding fan-translations to the ch publishers creating an site/app and banning independent tl... to it getting a paywall to finding agregator sites with the raws and using mtl on them... even the mtl has gotten way better with time...
You can try finding good novels on novel updates... just go for the completed ones...

Honestly tho... more than dedication I was just so fed up with all the same tropes in manga and manhwa and they all taking YEARS to end... and coming from a time where there were few proper novels in english on the net and a lot of horrid wttpad fanfics... at that point the mtl was looking real sweet...
But yeah... mostly there wasn't much in the comics department from what I was looking for... I do like reading about cultivation... but the ch comics put in a lot of fanservice that ain't even mentioned in the novel... and I also like the world-hopping trope (the cheating men must die genre) which each arc is one plot and there's very few comics about... so yeah... it was more desperation than dedication...
Now at 30+ yo I feel it takes more dedication to keep reading some mangas than using mtl... at some point endings start to feel sad but necessary... so yeah... at that point using mtl to read a complete book felt better than taking years to know the ending of a comic. We are kinda lucky that monst kr rofan are based on completed books... ngl... most of times I go looking for the spoilers to know how it ends cuz I don't have the patience for it... and with that I keep up with the weekly chapters in a more lighthearted way. I believe celeb lady, I'll become the matriarch and male leads adopted daughter are the only rofan comics I liked so much I went for the novel. And a couple about idols/actors too...
I really am more about phases... comics phase, novels phase, series phase and rn I'm in games phase... asite of keeping up with a couple comics I'm playing ragnarok online and waiting for the new dlc for house flipper 2...
Yeah, I had different phases too. Stopped reading manwha and manga at one point too, then returned back hard and now I'm reading less and trying to pick up books and literature that aren't just about romance.
But I get the wait for manwha and manga is insane. It's way faster to write a novel than to finish a comic and because of that, there is way more novels out there.
I personally just dislike that there is more and more ai shitty translations for both comics and web novels.

plus the fact that most of the mc being so mature in their past life (in their late twenties or in their early thirties) and then they suddenly do some stupid ass childish mistakes and dare to ask:
"this doesn't supposed to happen"
"why does the male lead's in love with me instead of the original female lead?"
they literally tweak the timeline and still can't comprehend what's wrong and what's different, lol.
this is so boring theres zero build up and no decent backstory or decent context and the mc is so bland, unoriginal, and just… boring lmao with no real personality so far. this is just more “villainess slop” ☠
