My hypothesis is that the part in the clue where it says that only one person will be granted the honor of 'seeing all things returned to their proper place', is referring to Bada. Contrary to the popular belief that Bada or Doha is the killer, I think Bada is just an NPC as is shown, but because he's an NPC, he can't leave the game and therefore is the only person who can stay behind as the 'witness' who will see 'things return to their proper place' i.e., all the players returning back to the real world.
That's why the villager NPC was shaking his head and mouthing 'but you're..' in response to Bada asking if only one of the outsiders can escape.
I think the cliffhanger or the climax of the story is gonna be the part where Bada, having figured this out, keeps it a secret from Doha so that he can sacrifice himself to make sure that everyone (Doha included) can return back to the real world.

Maybe that's also why Bada says at the end of ch. 75 that they need to play Seongchan's tape (maybe Bada wants to round up everyone to go through with the ritual?)

Reading your theory made me think that the “one person” that is granted the honor of seeing everything put in its proper place is the person that has to stay behind to allow everyone to leave. And maybe Bada was also a player in the past but then stayed behind to let a previous set of players leave, therefore he became a part of the game as an NPC? Bc the villager NPC specifically points at both Bada and Doha when referring to “all outsiders” that are involved in the the first offering, but if Bada was a true NPC, would he truly be considered an outsider? (Tbf though he could also be considered an outsider bc he came from outside the village just like the players. So rn I’m unsure if outsiders refers to the players or if they mean literal outsiders of the village). The villager NPC also said Doha and Bada would be “the one blind to the rite and the one who’d dare to defy it.” So out of Bada and Doha, I wonder who’s the “blind” one and who’s the one doing the defying.

This is all speculation on my part though, but I can’t wait to find out what the villager NPC was trying to tell Bada (something about his true identity or role in the rite I assume)

Bada being a previous player is an interesting theory but that would mean that there will always be one sucker in every batch of players who has to be left behind, which doesn't feel right to me. I do agree that Bada could be considered an 'outsider' in a way (cuz he was never supposed to have travelled with Doha and the others to the lodge) and maybe that's why the villager pointed to Bada as well. But that means he's still an NPC, and therefore, most probably would have to be the 'witness' :(
I'm also really excited to uncover what the 'blind to the rite' part means and how that plays out hehe :')

stop this is actually such a great theory though? this would make so much more sense for the plot compared to having just one player leave the game while the others are forced to stay trapped in it (unless the game repeats itself until another player gets to leave the game and yada yada but that just doesn’t sound likely at all). one of the main things i love about this manhwa are the theories the readers come up with, because the book really seems like it does call for close speculation throughout the entirety of it all, and your theory is (in my opinion) currently one of the best ones i’ve read recently just because it feels so perfect and, for a lack of a better term, realistic for the plot. tysm for commenting your thoughts, even if it may not play out.

I think based on the theory, and what had been said, Doha seems to fulfil the role of the "one who'd dare defy it" with the rite given his obsession with Bada and not wanting him to essentially stay in the game world, whereas since Bada would be the one "blind to the rite" which may simply mean he's blind to going through with the ritual and sacrificing himself since he may believe there is no alternative option.

This theory is amazing but better not happen because I want my two cuties to go to the real world together and be happy
