Taeju is NOT a green flag

junbxrry March 23, 2026 6:05 am

Okay, so i liked the story and the redemption arc but that does not mean taeju is a green flag. He ONLY redeemed himself because HE fell in love with euihyun, what if he hadn't fallen in love with euihyun? Yall think he would've repented ??? He would've just moved on with his life, he wouldn't have apologised or regretted his actions.

A rapist will always be a rapist. Yes, he changed himself that's good, but that does not mean he's a green flag now. He only realised what he did was wrong, because he fell in love with euihyun, only that made him realise what he did was wrong.

Imagine this happened with someone irl and you know that person, would yall be like "omgggg he redeemed himself, he's a green flag!! You should be with that person." ?? Ask yourself. Remember, he IS a rapist.

I understand fictional is fictional, supporting smtg in fictional does not mean supporting it irl. But i don't think that applies here, when a rapist or a sexual assault is involved. Yeah, its okay to like him, but guys HE. IS. NOT. A. GREEN. FLAG. And yes, this applies to all so-called 'green flags' like ilay, zhenya, caesar, etc.
None of these men are green flags.

Calling them a green flag is like an insult to actual green flags like my men andrew, shuraka, the seme from happy twogether (forgot his name ), ash, hua cheng, i cant remember others :(. Anyways, so please do not call taeju a green flag <3

I am pretty sure this only applies to 'late arc Taeju', as he is a green flag only then, if it makes sense? I separate the both, not in real life of course, but in this story yes as I do like to see him be so in love with Euihyun and tries hard to redeem himself and blablabla.
I agree that it would be completely different in real life, tho I did hear people, not me I wanna make that VERY clear, who said they forgave their r*pist when it was 'only them' they did it to and afterwards showed remorse (don't ask me), so maybe that's what people think here?
Idk man, bl world is weird, true green flags deserve more love.

Yeah ofc i get your point, i also liked his redemption arc. But taeju only turned into a green flag after he realised he's in love with euihyun and cannot live without him, and this also made him realise his mistakes and reflected on it.

So my point is, If he hadn't fell in love with euihyun, he would've prolly continued being a red/black flag and would've never apologized to euihyun.

Welp, forgiving your rapist? personally, i find it impossible. But who am i to question a victim's decision, as long as it helps them to heal and move on.

Oh yeah 100%, Taeju only loved himself and didn't care about others, makes sens ethat he had to learn it once that changed.
Similar thing with Euihyun, he only loved others, so he had to learn to love himself, or like, learn to love himself through someone else.

Something I also think many people gloss over, is that Euihyun literally drugged Taeju and made him to into heat to get a child, which wasn't okay at all either, as he wa snot in the right mindset to consent - tho ofc he would have said yes normally, but he was distancing himself. Not saying it's the same, just wanting more people to consider it too haha

And YEAH, I could never forgive my r*pist, no idea how people do it, but people cope different I guess..?

I get seperating fiction from real life, but DEFENDING it? Even if it is fictional one should know that it's not okay T^T

Preachhhh , ithink the idea of a rapist being “redeemed” and ending up with his victim is harmful in itself , fiction is fiction but with these manhwas redeeming rapists ppl straight up start defending the act of rape
