That's what makes it do interesting. Because MC is mostly by himself, time is relatively how he looks at it.
Some people gets angry because of how he seems removed from others, saying that he should care more because he's previously a human. But that before. Right now, he's no longer human. He's a high elf who understands human.
His long years of being an high elf already makes him almost forgot his life as a human so yeah that's what this more interesting!and the way things around him change too makes me kinda sad and i like how author potray it: ))
