Sure, they both suck at communication but it's mostly shuraka's fault at this point. He didn't prepare him for the whole harem thing. It was sprung upon him out of nowhere. He acted like MC was his everything and then MC came to know of the existence of the harem not even out of shuraka's mouth directly.
Also, MC is in an unfamiliar environment and he followed shuraka back to his home. It is shuraka's responsability to communicate what is expected of MC, what he will face as a challenge, etc.
Is MC lacking in the communication department? for sure and if he dragged shuraka somewhere with 0 info, I would say that it is mostly his fault as well.
