So, I'm gonna stand on Shuraka's side... I think that perfume is just what the male concubine wears as his special scent and since Shura was with him... not sleeping with him. That male concubine could have a room full of perfume.... Who knows.

Also, I think he went cause it ties to when Tei bleed after trying to ready himself... Shuraka was scared by it that he didn't continue and he probably doesn't want that to happen again. His naiveness and lack of knowing kind of hurt Tei... At least, maybe that's what he's thinking.

He was under the effects of that stuff he was smoking. His blood is turning... I mean that's enough proof right? I don't think he's doing anything...

Ok now to Tei... Tei is denying Shura because of his own thoughts and the miscommunication which is giving Shura PTSD flashbacks. I think Shuraka hesitates because he's been judged pretty badly on his road to succession... Like really badly, but in some way shape or form he's hoping Tei is the only person who loves him unconditionally but that's backfiring right now.

I think the concubines are all passed down to him and he's just trying to change the way the customs go... Maybe the male concubine was a favorite of one of his brothers?

That male concubine might have a vendetta against Shura. Wanting him and Tei to fail. He coached Shura a lil and also fed Tei some BULLSHIT with a smirk.

Conclusion... He's a snake.

These are my thoughts. I'll keep them as the story goes on. See if they change or not. Hahaha
