Everyone saying "coming out is no big deal" or "he should just do it for his bf" are just performative allies. How can you gonna come here read a GAY series and say it's no "big deal" or he's just "overreacting" Jh himself was a hardcore homophobe just a few months prior but now he has turned gay it doesn't matter? what is everyone on? I don't care if I get downvoted for this but you can really see the straight people vs queer in this chat. let me tell you the worst things that can happen if you out them. it's not bullying, it's either getting raped or death. That is the worst thing you can do to someone with a queer identity. Whether they want to come out or not, it's THEIR CHOICE. In a homophobic country with friends of the bf who was previously himself a homophobe, don't you think how reckless, idiotic and dangerous that decision was?

Gay celebrities are rich people that can pay for bodyguards and whatever else to stay safe. But even with that added safety, verbal wide mass opinion and the lack of rights for gay people is so strong it can lead an out celebrity to commit suicide. Celebrities that a gay do have that privilege of being “untouchable” by the public because they are in a higher social class. The people who need to fear for their lives are the ones out of public view because there is nothing to shield them. They don’t have the means to protect themselves socially and physically. Not to mention being outcast from the workplace is a very real thing and Garam has spent years building up his education and gpa. Imagine being a top student and getting your degree, just for no one to hire because you’re gay.
