For real! The ending had so much more potential had Ian chose to stay alone. At least that way we can say that there's actually healing on his part after all the shit that he's been through. Oh well..What's with k-authors and their inability to acknowledge that choosing yourself is a possibility for once! I'm so tired...
It ended up like Yours to Claim, maybe that's why I don't like it.
It seems that both authors were too lazy to develop the work properly, so they followed the same model.
