I feel like its one of two thing either yuta is protecting him bc he knows that if mc kills the creep than the elders won't stop until they murder mc or two this is a part of his revenge bc let's not forget yuta is extremely unstable and also vengeful so even though he has obvious feelings for mc he still holds resentment towards him. But it could also be a mixture of both
