The ending is shit, the plot is shit, the art is unstable as fuck, going up and down randomly. If you don’t follow the story closely, you genuinely can’t even tell which character is which. It’s way too inconsistent.
As for the characters, these are the two most useless tops I’ve ever read whose only redeeming quality is their looks. Besides secretly gathering a bit of information and then vaguely provoking Suryeon, they don’t actually do anything to her. And Mieum, I didn’t want to call him useless too quickly because earlier when Mieum cooperated with Jian, I thought: “If these two tops are already useless, at least the two bottoms should do something, right?” But no, I expected way too much from the author. That whole line “Not doing anything to her is the greatest punishment” yeah, sure. She’s been living luxuriously for 20 years; that’s some punishment. Mieum should consider himself lucky he wasn’t immediately shot in the head by that old hag the moment he opened his mouth and spouted meaningless nonsense. Plot armor is truly something else. Then there’s the whole crying scene: “It’s my fault, because I cooperated with Baek Jian.” Fucking hell, it’s like he’s blaming the only person who actually tried to do something in this entire shit story. Even Jitae goes “He’s so kind, always taking the blame on himself. Let’s cry for the one who can’t cry” so fake, ewww.
Setting aside the main couple with their cringy, ear-grating dialogues, Jin is straight-up a joke. I’ve never seen a supposedly dangerous, possessive top this useless. When Jian goes missing, the only thing he does is watch Mieum cry and exchange smirks with Jitae?!?? Are you fucking stupid? Why aren’t you out looking for Jian? I thought you were obsessed with him?
Jian is the character who got shoved with a mountain of plot points, tortured in every possible way, only to end up with a bland, anticlimactic conclusion in the main story. (I don’t care about the side stories.) I honestly wish Jian had actually died just to escape this shit plot. What could the extras even have besides sex scenes and secrets no one gives a fuck about?
