Let talk about Hayden a bit, yeah he is brutal in bed but he also idealist romantic, what he want is a stable relationship, a pure beautiful love like his favorite drama stage, which will be hard to find in someone like Brett, who seem too careless and live just to satisfy himself. I’m not saying Brett not capable of love, but those cheesy feelings seem out of question for him, he want everything fair and game, so no one is dissatisfied, and yet Hayden not happy with that. They are opposites in everything but like magnets, they are attracted to each other and cannot be separated.
The safe word is the limit of he and Brett but can also mean the start for more serious relationship like the director said
