despite the fact that kunon's outward personality (aka the principles he chooses to live by of being a gentlemen as opposed to his innate passion for magic) where he flirts with every woman, this is the most normal a manga like this has been about women. there is not a single character lusting after this 12 year old even when he flirts with them they just go "this kid is so weird". there is a trans character whose identity is explicitly discussed and kunon fixes his mistake and completely respects her as a woman. there is no one dimensional villain, every 'antagonist' goes through character development. no harem or hint of harem which i cannot stress how unusual it is for manga of this genre. i love it.
