the original motivation was for him to find a way to regain his sight and while he has more or less succeeded in doing so it ended up with unexpected results.
furthermore this story has gone far beyond just his original motivation and his lack of sight is hardly an issue anymore so no worries about "you can only be happy when you aren't disabled".
Question : is this a story where he regain his sight ? I don't plan to read a story where the moral is "you can only be happy when you aren't disabled"
