Honestly, I’m confused why people are so upset at him leaving. Ever since his boss mentioned his financial dependence on the ml, I think it was an obvious foreshadowing that there would come a point where he needs to be able to sustain himself and be independent for their relationship to feel equal.
The mc would always feel “lesser than” and remain insecure because of the unbalance over the give-and-take and who’s in control of the relationship. Even if the ml tried not to make it feel that way it doesn’t chance the reality.
While the way it happened was tough, I think him leaving and maybe becoming financially independent will give them a chance to have a much more balanced relationship.
Also, I don’t think the mc overreacted because I think the hyung’s words weren’t the only reason he left.
