I get if people are annoyed at the dragged out angst, but I don’t get why some people are blaming the ml and saying he’s overreacting. Counting the mc he’s been betrayed by 3 people he thought he could trust. Obviously he’s having a hard time getting over it.
We knew from season 1of his trauma. He was abandoned by his mom and when he thought he found someone who loved him, he realized his mom’s sister was only using him for her father. Basically betrayed twice. He has his guard up and trust up so much that he’s been faking his personality for years. That is until the mc was able to break him out of it. So imagine being someone like that and finding out the mc was just using him for data.
What the mc did would have hurt even a normal person’s trust. So it makes sense that the ml would be even more scarred by it and “overreacted”.
Yeah yeah the ML isn't overreacting...it's just not super gripping storytelling

I’ve read half of this. While I understand the main point of the story is the abuse the bottom has gone through, I still don’t vibe with the way the top gets degraded by him and how one-sided their relationship feels. Just wanted to know if there’s ever some time dedicated to the bottom have some form of a “chasing” moment?
I put it in quotations cause I don’t literally expect a full on arc like those chasing arcs the toxic tops do, but just some form of equal reciprocation and regret so that their relationship feels more balanced. Cause so far, it just feels like the top is this loyal dog who takes any treatment from the bottom, but the bottom would never do that for him. And the bottom clearly has bigger issues to worry about understandably. But it makes their relationship feel unbalanced and underdeveloped to me.
