Imo they couldn’t really have told us even if they wanted to because she spent most of her recovery days sleeping and I can’t picture telling someone who’s barely getting better “hey btw you lost your child” but there’s never a “proper” time to tell these kind of news, I wish they didn’t let her discover it that way, like they knew what her father was going to say and this is the worst way for her to discover it he’s announcing (yelling) it to her by saying she is the stain of their family and they’re just waiting behind the doors everybody gotta go
