I noticed that straight smut and yaoi smut isn't the same. Straights smut is straight to the point and yaoi is mainly 50% plot and 50% smut.

Yeah, bc alot of straight sm*t is also consumed by men, and you can immediately clock which one was written from men and which one was written for women. Not saying sm*t written for women is good or better, some has sexism and misogyny. But am*t for men is js p*rn pictures, no emotional connection, js immidiade boning and looking at women as commodity.

It's interesting how much men and women differ in that

Agreed. Like the other commenter said, it has a lot to do with the target audience. I've noticed that when media is targetted towards men, it's often for mindless and rather blunt. But, when the target audience is women, you'll see a bit more plot or at least an attempt to build real chemistry first because it's believed that women rely as much on the emotional impact of a story as the physical (Not saying either doesn't enjoy the other, it's just the general target)
Stories written for the female gaze are always the ones I recommend, like Man with Ghosts (Pure smut, but with a very female gaze kind of ML) and Only for love (Minimal smut, lot of amazing chemistry)
