TDLR: The author is saying to not be so quick to judge and complain about the story when the point of the story is that they both learn to be in a healthier relationship with each other. They are already aware their relationship is toxic because it's meant to be toxic.

Okay, let's clear up some things before people try to misinterpret what the author said and play the "blame game."
The author is not specifically talking about people who complain about Su-ah, rape or Juhyeok, they are talking about the people who are quick to complain about the story in general when they are already aware that the two characters do not have a healthy relationship.
The story is *meant* to be about the messy development of their relationship, Quote: "we've reached a point where Juhyeok and Su-ah are facing one of the many major waves in their lives."
They're saying not to judge the story too quickly
because the toxicity of their relationship is a hurdle the characters will need to learn to overcome and grow from.
They're not saying you need to sympathize with Su-ah like I saw someone say. They're saying to read this with a more open mind because Su-ah will develop and learn how to be in a healthier relationship with Juhyeok where it isn't one-sided.

Su-ah is meant to be kinda shitty in the relationship, you will need to keep reading to see his character development where he learns to be on mutual terms with Juhyeok. Su-ah will learn to better respect Juhyeok's boundaries so the relationship is not one-sided and inversely, Juhyeok will learn to accept love from Su-ah.

Please do not misrepresent what the author is saying to use it as a "gotcha" moment when someone says something in the comment section you don't like. They are not talking about the people who are complaining about the rape and toxicity, they're talking about the people who are quick to judge and misunderstand the story soley based on that and go complain about it on Twitter.
And also, most of the comments aren't in English, it's not the people here specifically who are the ones complaining in their comment section on Twitter.
