Yeah infurinating because garam have a TRAUMA yes its wrong to leave without communication, but in this point communication not gonna clear anything, because ml not even trying to understand how garam seems uncomfortable with open their relationship because he is an ex homophobe not the one who facing homophobia. More queer ppl understand garam because that how you end up while living as closeted and had internalized homophobia
then how hard is it for him to write JH a note that says "I need time to think because I'm dealing with trauma. Please understand and wait for me." Instead of 'let's take time away from each other" as if he's trying to break up with Jaehyuk? Clearly the author is just dragging this shit out for the sake of drama.
Also I disagree that ML is NOT trying to understand how Garam seems uncomfortable with relationship because Garam is not even explaining shit. Garam wasn't clear at all in chapter 113 when they were having that fight. Could have just said "I lost friends when people found out I was gay and I don't want to go through it again" but author dumbed him down for some reason.
Imagine being this ignorant lol, do you know how ml used to treat mc without even proper communication yet doing all that without mc consent like suddenly renting apartement also come out to his family (and ml family end up making his trauma worse by blamming mc if ml lose his job?) Their relationship never work properly from the start both of them are the fault why the relationship never work
you’re kind of reacting surface-level frustration without really engaging with what’s actually going on underneath.
everything garam ia doing shows that he's overwhelmed by the happenings and fear and not like “i’m punishing jaehyuk”. the rings, the silence, leaving it’s messy, yeah but people don’t always behave properly when they’re dealing with fear and not jut fear bht someone with trauma.
when someone is willing to do anything for you, that can feel less like love and more like pressure like you’re being made responsible for their entire sense of self.
jaehyuk wanting answers is valid, sure, but the ultimatum (talk now or break up) is literally the opposite of creating a safe space to have that conversation. it just backs garam further into a corner.
they need this development and if you do not like that then its fine. just idk honestly, i just hope you don’t carry this kind of thinking into real life, especially with queer people, because “just explain yourself” and ultimatums around coming out aren’t supportive. they’re exactly the kind of thing that pushes people further into fear and isolation
Adding to that, it's not just a trauma response that is pushing his emotional impulses. It also feels like the story is purposely not showing that Garam has eaten anything since he had that fight with Jaehyuk on his birthday. Even though it was heavily drawn attention to that he was starving himself through Jaehyuk's comment about the sandwich and refusing to eat with Jaehyuk's ex-buddies. It can feel like a lot of time has past since the chapters come out weekly, but in the story only a night and not even a full day have passed in the timeline. Here's a breakdown of the timeline: Garam didn't eat anything after the fight with Jaehyuk on his birthday and went to bed. When he woke up he tried to eat the sandwich that Jaehyuk had made for him, but stopped at a bite, probably out of guilt for Jaehyuk still looking after him. Then he went to his college course and spent the entire lecture on an empty stomach. Afterwards, he refused to go for lunch with Redhead and Hat guy, saying he wasn't feeling well. After redhead and hat left, he immediately took Jaehyuk to that room where they had their second argument. He went back to the apartment in a rush to pack his things, write the note and leave the apartment. I highly doubt he would eat anything when he was in a rush to get out of the apartment before Jaehyuk got home. He probably immediately started calling places to rent because he needed a place to sleep, settled on renting that single room and immediately started unpacking. He was probably just going to go to sleep early if he didn't take Jaehyuk's call in the next chapter. So yeah, he didn't eat anything except for a bite of a sandwich in all that time. If you already are having heightened emotions, starving yourself for an extended period of time is only going to make your emotional state worse. I have been reading the comments for every chapter, and I am surprised no one has mentioned Garam being on a hunger strike.
that makes a lot of sense! garam is clearly overwhelmed by a lot of emotions rn that he's not thinking properly. and reading the raws pains me cause jh is driving him to a corner by giving him an ultimatum.
'm not on anyone's side weighing garam and jaehyuk's actions but i sympathize more with garam for this conflict (doesn't mean i agree with his actions) he just feels very humane rn imo

Nobody is mad at Garam for not wanting to come out. Coming out involves both parties and if Garam is not comfortable with it then either they break up or Jaehyuk has to compromise. Everyone is mad at how infuriating his way of dealing with their conflict is. It started with the rings. He slapped them away and not even gave a reason why, then left without eating breakfast or even saying a single word, which of course made JH think Garam is being angry at him.
And now he just up and leaves. Doesn't even attempt to talk it out or anything.
Oh and I read the next chapter. It's just as infuriating. JH called him and agreed to hide them dating, but Garam refused to return and said they needed time away from each other. JH said he was willing to do anything for GR so what else does GR wants, and GR is like "it's because you're willing to do all of that for me that we need time away from each other." Like WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT REASON? WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? JH then got angry and said either both of them come out or both of them break up.
I'm sorry but I'm on Jaehyuk's side. It's ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING. JUST SPIT IT OUT WHY YOU ARE DOING ALL OF THIS.
