Honestly this is such a realistic chapter. Even if JJY wants to change, the fact is that it’s hard. He’s lived a certain way his entire life. He got used to treating people a certain way. He’s never worked on himself or learned how to regulate his emotions or rein in his aggression.
Wanting to change doesn’t equal changing. He is going to need to put true work in. He still isn’t putting others first. He’s letting himself and his feelings take over his actions without thought. Yeah it’s disappointing, but I think this is a pushing someone away for that own good type thing. Without any thought for the consequences. KD should go and make a new life and ignore his violent unregulated ass, but yeah. He’s probably gonna leave and get kidnapped by the old guy.
