I think i finally understand why this ending is so frustrating. The whole point was seeing the progression of Ian as a character. Jo, TJ, they all had a hand in shaping him as a person. TJ his past; Jo his future. I fully understand why Ian never picked Jo but in the end Jo’s character was meant to be a lesson for his growth but that part was cut out for a time skip, And that’s that missing feeling. In no way does it feel like Jo had any influence bc with how it was laid out it seems as if Ian just ran back to his past. No growth from TJ either that man was a fucking mess when it came to their relationship. Ofc it’s implied but I still hate TJ for the shit he put Ian through all those years. Why would u make an end game and not fully develop them. Idk I feel like if Ian chose himself and TJ spent a little more time working for Ian’s forgiveness it would feel so much better. But ofc this is just my opinion
