I re-read the last chapter because I didn't understand why he did a 180 with his behavior, and I guess it makes sense now? Maybe I'm wrong but if his biggest concern is not being poor, why doesn't he get another job or something? I know the trauma of an abusive and neglectful childhood is really affecting him so maybe he hasn't considered that yet
