OH MY GOD PFFFFFFT AIN'T NO WAY!! That's so embarrassing and underwhelming... I get authors using stencils but this was so below the bare minimum.
I mean it was meant to be a corny tattoo and I think that was what Doyak was trying to convey. The point is he just wanted his sweethearts initials tattooed on his heart and shamelessly picked out one of the most common (ribbon) template to do so. Hence that dialogue between Ian and TJ calling it cheesy but Ian loving it anyways. Then Ian giving him a reward afterwords for it. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
It's always cheesy to get someone's name tattooed on. She could've made it more nicer and fun but didn't even use creativity when tj does have nicer tattoos. Dude couldn't even get Ian full name, at least his whole first name. Its embarrassing and not worth those 100 chapters. Tj and doyak could've done much better. Doyak just slap it on without much care just like this ending.
...right that's the point, it's a cheesy tattoo. she did it on purpose. that's what doyak wanted readers to understand as it helps add to the everyday interactions of tj and ian in their life together. it's not embarrassing at all but actually very sweet because we get to see how much in love they really are with each other. and all the corny stuff with it. 100 chapters worth the domestic bliss.
Also if you want to really focus on any of TJ's tattoos, it'd be the anchor on his right hand. One of Doyak's whole theme is 'home' and 'destination' and chapter 99 has TJ's hand angled with the anchor pointed towards Ian during their reunion. So it's quite the symbolic tattoo since the beginning because it finally pointed to his 'home' or 'destination' aka Ian, who also happens to be his only 'anchor' (source of strength and security etc) in life. (￣V￣)╭
And my point is that its endgame make the cheesy tattoo look meaningful. I highly doubt she did on purpose. She just did it because she got lazy just like all those plotholes.
right it makes it meaningful. and actually it's confirmed that she had that ribbon/tattoo sketched from like 2023 or even earlier. So she did do it on purpose and was just waiting to utilize it loool.
