He married him due to politics. It was either marry him for peace and the sake of his nation, or risk a power struggle. His family chose the marriage not him, standing up for her wouldn't do anything unless he ran away too. And him tricking Federick was also life threatening for him. Js because you think Federick over-hated for nothing (I don't disagree w that) Kiran is still a victim and hasn't done anything wrong js like Federick hasn't. You cant ask for fairness for one character while being unfair to the other.
They could have found smth else to broker peace, instead they decided to force a 19 year old into a marriage. They basically sold her. If Kiran had said no, they wouldn't have been able to go through with the trick. What happens when they find Kira? She's going to be locked up in a castle with a man she never wanted. The trick hinges on Kiran's consent, it would never work if they tried to force him, so he is not a victim.
Kiran said he didn't want to tho??? His dad forced him. He was also js locked in the castle until federick found out he was a guy. This would never hinge on his consent if he wasn't coerced into doing it thinking his family and kingdom wouldn't be on the line because of him. If you want to blame someone blame the family, this plan did not depend on Kiran at all. Js as much as Kira is the victim and would be if she stayed, Kiran js took her place.
Kiran could have left too though, like Kira he has some agency. Yes, it was a political marriage but that didnt stop Kira for standing up for herself and after she ran the family didnt even consider alternatives, just get her back no matter what. And if Kiran wanted to he could have just told Frederick that he was a man before they got married. Not to mention he's only being a placeholder for Kira, eventually he's going to go back home and Kira will be stuck there and he's seemingly fine with that. It would be different if he was actually taking Kira's place but he's not.
icl the way ppl wanna make the ml the villain is so unfair in my opinion when mc is also a problem. Freddie has the nickname the 'demon king' and alot of people are scared of him but whilst he's a bit of a dick whether he has actually earned that nickname is yet to be seen. anyway kira gets betrothed to freddie without her consent and runs away and her family decide to marry her to him anyway, track her down and capture her and hand her over to the 'Demon king' and instead of standing up for his sister Kiran just goes along with this. Doing so, he tricks Freddie into marrying him and convinced Freddie to wait around for his sister because they are definitely going to bring her back. Honestly they are both kind of fucked up for going along with this. I find it even more infuriating that ppl accuse the Freddie of cheating when he found out that woman he loved doesn't want to be with him and the person he thought he had married was actually a man (atp Freddie is straight). And then ppl are commenting Freddie is ruining the princess's rep like the girl RAN AWAY she clearly doesn't gaf. Like wtf? This whole thing is an actual farce. I only hope Kira is never found.
