This ending is complete shit, and not just because JoIan didn't end up together. The author's favoritism toward TJ was obvious, especially given all the unresolved history between him and Ian. The ending is trash precisely because it felt so rushed. Also, I never saw TJ apologize to Ian for everything that happened, and many things were left unfinished. I know there’s an epilogue coming, so I hope they fix something there. Honestly, the only thing I liked was seeing Joseph on his own path and finally moving on from Ian; he’s a character I absolutely loved

Did you read with your eyes close? It was so obvious from the very beginning, It was always been TJ. Not for a single moment did Youngwoo and Taejoon’s feelings waver, no matter the circumstances, the distance or the passage of time.

If it “doesn’t make sense” that they ended up together, the problem isn’t the story, it’s you.

UM, WHAT'S THE FCKING POINT OF JO THEN??? IF THEY'RE JUST GOING TO END UP TOGETHER ANYWAY. WHY MAKE IT A LOVE TRIANGLE???? OH MY GOSH.

So you technically adnit Doyak is a shitty ass writer because she said the end game wouldn't be obvious but then chose the obvious end game. Its pathetic and badly written, they way you guys look past all the plot holes.

Saying it was obvious from the start when it was never meant to obvious is hilarious and the way you guys romanticize this relationship as if its not just a trauma bond and codependency. TJ was just the default option because Ian doesn't believe he deserves better.

If she really want this too be unquie she could have ended it like "Bound to be Fools"

Using a love triangle in this way makes you worse than a mediocre writer, she can't write. She had potential but ruined it and the only people who rate this high are the ones using it for fap material and dont actually care about the story

I aslo dont care what you have to say. So Im blocking you and if your lame ass makes a separate topic to reply to me, it makes you look like a loser.

Bound to Be Fools floored me with the author's bold decisions and even if my ideal ending didn't happen, it was still a very satisfactory read bc there was logic in the story lol Felt very cathartic

It’s called plot… and finally something different.
I want to think that thanks to Jo, Ian understood that the only one is TJ, and that he wants to live a normal life with the one he truly love.
Also: when they broke up, Ian said to Jo that he really loved the time they spent together, but how could you call it Love? He was with Jo and always thinking about TJ!
So he tried to stay with Jo, also because TJ was not giving them (as a couple) an opportunity. But then, TJ opened the eyes and left all behind, all he built (as all is now meaningless without Ian).
So, the story was about them (TJ and Ian) 100%

But yes, I also think that this is a “love or hate” story. So if you don’t like it, is ok.

Different??? You cant be serious. There is nothing different about this story

TJ was just the default option because Ian doesn't believe he deserves better so he will stuck in a relationship, convincing himself its love because thats what happens when you spend years in a codependent and trauma relationship disguised as love

But you guys are not ready for that conversation. If you think what they have is true love I actually feel really sorry for you.

If Ian needed a second person to make him feel like TJ is the one as you say, isnt that even worse. "If you fall for a second person chose them because you wouldn't fall for them if you truly loved the first"

Anyways I block all TJ stans I come across. Im not interested in your reply to message.

I'm seeing a lot of this takeaway from TJIans and I can't really agree. The story doesn't subscribe to "one and only," as further evidenced by the author reiterating that she doesn't like that trope in her stories anyway. Of course, the story can be interpreted in many ways because even the ending was left ambiguous, but the one indisputable fact is that Ian did genuinely love Jo. That we lack clarity from his (lack of-) monologues doesn't erase what his actions have been saying otherwise. This is why the fandom remains divided, but the sooner ppl accept that he felt love with both in vastly different ways that he expressed differently, the sooner we can get to a more fruitful discussion than just, "Oh, it's bc it turns out he never loved x so he chose y, that's that".

@PinkLemonade since apparently you block people so they can't reply, which is honestly the most telling thing you've done in this entire thread. the audacity to call this badly written and then use "bound to be fools" as the gold standard for a love triangle lmaoo okay. also "replying makes you a loser" is a wild thing to say the projection is genuinely olympic level. you didn't shut anything down babe, you just showed everyone exactly what kind of person argues like this.

and since you want to twist my words, let me be clear. when i said it was obvious, i meant obvious in hindsight once you actually understood the story. the kind of obvious that only lands when you're paying attention. Doyak saying it wouldn't be obvious was about the journey, not the destination. the whole point was that it shouldn't FEEL like a foregone conclusion while you're reading it, and it doesn't, because she made you genuinely feel the weight of both options. that's not a contradiction, that's just good writing that you clearly didn't absorb.

calling TJ and Ian a "trauma bond" isn't the gotcha you think it is. yes, their relationship is complicated and messy, that's literally the point. Doyak never framed it as a fairytale. but there's a massive difference between a trauma bond and two people who have been each other's only constant for nineteen years. TJ helped Ian get clean. Ian chose to stay in TJ's orbit even after leaving K35 knowing full well the cost. and crucially, Ian knew what TJ did with the balcony incident and chose not to let him say it out loud, not out of weakness, but because he understood that their bond existed in a space beyond clean moral categories. that's not codependency written badly, that's complex character writing done deliberately.

love triangles are almost never about who wins, they're about what the choice reveals about the protagonist. if you went into this story purely to see who "gets" Ian, that's a you problem not a writing problem. obvious does not equal unearned. the TJ/Ian ending making narrative sense doesn't make it lazy, it makes it coherent.

you're welcome to prefer JoIan, that's a completley valid read. but "she can't write" because the story didn't end the way you wanted? come on. also the fap material comment is just embarassing, it undercuts every single point you made before it.

Bruh girl, I’m not complaining about JoIan not being endgame. What I’m saying is that it was OBVIOUS THAT TJ AND IAN WOULD END UP TOGETHER, and that’s fine. What I’m saying is that the ending itself is trash because of HOW they ended up together. Chapter 100 was so rushed; there was no development showing Ian waiting for TJ, no apology from TJ to Ian, and that contradiction with his character in chapter 99 was just insane. Besides, the 'obvious' part is what's so fucked up. Why even make a love triangle if Doyak already hinted from the start and focused on resolving the issues between TJ and Ian through Joseph

I got a notification for this thread

I clearly said - "Anyways I block all TJ stans I come across. Im not interested in your reply to message."

And yet that person still wants to @ me. I didnt even bother reading your message. I really have no interest in what you have to say.

Its just hilarious that you went out of your way to send a response to someone who blocked you.
