this was sooo fun, it's been a while since i genuinely LOL-ed at a manga. they don't make manga like this anymore... unique distinguishable features (no same face ikemen syndrome) and a humor style that i feel only works with that kind of art. the plot is suuuuch a classic. and the humor/jokes is one that can land because of its publish time and context. AH. this is really funny and the wholesome moments were cute as well.
yankumi is such a cute nickname for someone so tough given BY yankees too. yankumi is "straight" in a way that's principled and just despite being a yakuza, and i find it so cute that alongside her strength she's able to tame both her yakuza siblings AND her yankee students by touching their heart :") at the end of the day, that's what a teacher does!! she is one through and through despite her questionable but apt methods LOL
while they aren't lovey dovey scenes in the main story despite her student being the ML..... why did it have to be a student in the first place!!! RAHHHHH my only gripe fr. thank god it was mostly action comedy throughout and it was more of a crush while he was her student there. he becomes more proactive and outspoken about his feelings when he graduates, and overall i think it's cute that he's the only one who understands and can handle a gorilla like her. though genuinelyyyy i was rooting for shinohara sensei #HAY. i enjoyed the main story thoroughly, but the side stories at the end... i couldn't fully get into it cuz of the age gap and their student-teacher history i'm 23 right now and can't imagineeee ever considering a 17 year old as my romantic partner. thank god this is fiction then! mwahahaha
OVERALL I LOVEEEE YAKUZA PLOTS AND STRONG WOMEN!!!! 10/10 humor too. i missss 90s-00s style anime.. they dont make shi like dat anymore...
