I don’t want him to die either, but the amount of trauma he carries is just overwhelming.
At this point, the only ending that doesn’t involve death is for him to finally be loved by the right person — someone who isn’t from his past, someone completely new.
Just like how Jooha met Dooshik, or how Yashiro met Doumeki.
Both Yashiro and Jooha went through severe abuse just like Yuta, and in the end, they didn’t end up with the person they loved and clung to for years. Instead, they found someone who could truly love them the way they deserved. I feel like Yuta needs the same kind of love — someone new who will choose him wholeheartedly.
I really hope so. And honestly? I think it could happen.
Maybe Yuta will walk away from all of it, the trauma, the past, even Seunghyun and finally choose himself.
He could go somewhere peaceful, somewhere far away…
Maybe he’d even become a monk like his grandfather, learning to heal in complete silence, with nobody to hurt him anymore.
I understand that it would be incredibly cruel if Yuta died in the end, and I truly hope that doesn’t happen. But I still don’t want him to end up with Seunghyun.
What you said is right, but there is no “if” in this story, he can’t go back and change what happened. The damage has already been done.
I just hope Yuta can find a better man who can teach him what being genuinely loved really feels like.
There are so many possible consequences if he gets brain surgery — paralysis, coma, blindness, or even developing a mental illness. His life and body have already been through so much.
I just hope that if the author chooses not to let him undergo the surgery, she will at least write an AU where he can finally be loved.
A character like Seunghyun is more suitable being alone than being paired with anyone. I feel like Jaeil really dodged a bullet, because the author did not pair him with Seunghyun and he ended up with his own pretty wife instead. The unlucky one is actually Yuta, who fell for the Seunghyun from the past.
If you read the last chapter thoroughly, you will understand why. Seunghyun admitted it himself. It was his pride and his own decisions. He did not want to be wavered by anything or anyone, which made him choose to overlook Yuta’s pain. Whenever he saw it, he chose to ignore it, look away, or even trample on it.
Even now, when Yuta is nearing his end, he is still hesitant and refuses to break the principles he has built over the years. And just like Yuta said, Seunghyun did not look for him and chose to forget him because he did not see Yuta as valuable or useful to his life before.
Do not forget that Seunghyun accepted Yuta’s offer because of the casino. From the beginning, he only used Yuta as a tool to get the casino he wanted. And since it was Yuta who offered, I am not blaming anyone, but that is the reason Seunghyun does not deserve Yuta’s love. He is too selfish.
He only wanted Yuta when it was convenient, and it made Yuta’s love look cheap.
He does not deserve Yuta’s devotion at all. And Yuta also realized in the last chapter that he can no longer distinguish his feelings, whether they were real or only his own delusion, so he decided to let everything go.
fair enough, I'll still be hoping he redeems himself by saving yuta and getting revenge on people who hurt him. Idk why but I really can't hate his character because I feel like he's just way too stubborn and prideful as a defense to the kind of environment he grew in, it's really difficult to change that

I’ve said it before, and I want to say it again: Seunghyun doesn’t deserve Yuta’s love. If they end up together, that would honestly be a real bad ending for Yuta. I’m not trying to be harsh, but Seunghyun should just stay alone in his casino, waiting for his Jaeil hyung to return.
For Yuta, leaving this world would almost be a better ending — no more suffering, no more abuse, no more abandonment. I truly wish Yuta could find someone who cherishes him and puts him above everyone else, but that seems unlikely. The author just loves making him suffer, so there’s no way he’ll end up with someone better, like Dooshik.
Even if they do end up together, do you guys really think Yuta can ever be completely happy? Every time he looks at Seunghyun’s face, he’ll remember the past — how he was abandoned, how he was never Seunghyun’s first choice. He will always feel insecure with Seunghyun.
And if Jaeil wasn’t married, do you honestly think Seunghyun would even choose Yuta? You already know the answer in your heart.
I just hope the author won’t be so cruel as to put Yuta with Seunghyun in the end. It would ruin Yuta’s character and make him look like a typical doormat bottom, which he absolutely isn’t. I’d rather see him single, thriving, or even with another man who actually TREATS HIM RIGHT.
