Yuta deserves better than this manchild who once abandoned him and lived his life without guilt, after choosing to believe that lie out of selfishness and cowardice. Even now, what he’s doing feels driven by guilt, because deep down he knows he could have done better back then. He could have at least checked on Yuta once in those ten years, since Yuta was the one who shield a bullet for him. At the very least, out of gratitude, especially since, during those six months together, he knew how badly Yuta wanted to escape that hellhole and how harshly the people in Golden Pavilion were treated. And yet, he still chose to leave Yuta there, never went back to check on his well-being, and eventually forgot about him completely.
Now, after being abandoned by his owner, he’s alone and has no one, so he turns back to Yuta out of convenience. Do you think he would act this way if Jaeil hadn’t married someone else and left him? He never listens to Yuta about the Kujo situation—does he really think he’s powerful enough to take down the whole family or something?
And now, by blowing himself up, he’s only going to leave Yuta with even deeper trauma, whether he survives or not. He may think he’s doing it out of guilt and to ease his own heart, but he never truly considers what Yuta wants. He’s always cared about himself. He even admitted before that he always puts himself first and turns away from Yuta’s pain.
