true... if there's any character who deserves amnesia it's Yuta, there's no way he can ever live in peace with such memories... but I wonder if the author will go down the amnesia path again like they did for Jooha... but then again the way this author makes their bottoms suffer the only way they can continue living is by forgetting everything
To be honest, I feel like the amnesia arc is really lame. It comes across as if the author just wants to make her uke suffer to satisfy some strange kink, and then fixes everything with amnesia.
It also feels repetitive at this point, especially since the exact same thing was already done in the main story of Pearl Boy.
tbh I agree...amnesia arc is used as a one fits all technique to get away with whatever plot you come up with... and I find it disturbing how the author makes the story so pathetic by making every bottom suffer through, not even any other abuse, but downright violent that it makes it impossible to find the right way the bottom could achieve peace and happiness (that does not come only with death)... so I think might as well Yuta should forget everything cuz unlike Dooshik Seunghyun isn't a safe place for him, instead he's one of the people who made Yuta suffer the most now
You're totally right. I also happened to see some posts talking about her obsession with stories like A Married Man and Pawn’s Revenge.
I think that’s why she created Yuta’s character to satisfy that specific preference.
But the difference between Ignite the Dawn and other stories, including Pearl Boy, is that in those works, the bottoms who were prostitutes or were abused their entire lives never ended up with the men who hurt or abandoned them.
In this kind of story, the only real way for them to heal is to meet someone new, someone who isn’t from their past, and finally learn what genuine love feels like, instead of staying stuck with the person they loved but who could never love them back.
truly!!!!
I couldn't digest Missing Love at all and I am thinking of dropping this story now... will probably log back into it someday only when I see Yuta genuinely smiling and happy and I HOPE WITH ANOTHER ML cuz Seunghyun nope nope... he's up there in the list of tops who should die alone cuz honestly what good is your redemption if it comes at the cost of the other person's total mental breakdown where they have lost hope to the point they are planning their own death

Sometimes I really wish I could hate Yuta, just so I wouldn’t hurt every time he suffers. This story almost feels like it was written for people who enjoy seeing him in pain but I’m the exact opposite, and now it’s affecting me way too much
It’s so heartbreaking because it genuinely feels like there’s no good ending for him. If he dies, it’s tragic. If he ends up with Seunghyun, it’s painful in a different way. No matter what route he takes, it feels like he loses...
