Ishtar, the goddess of love, war, and fertility, which can equated to Shaushka (according to google) but this manga has a special place in my heart, and if you were willing to give it a chance and read even to volume 2, I think you’d get more into it. Of course, it’s up to you, and I don’t know your tastes, but she doesn’t /stay/ useless.
Well, the Hittites are fascinating. I won't write this off then but won't prioritize it.

Yeah she is very flawed. You kind of love and hate her for it. But it is a pretty nice novel. It's been Ten years? since I read it. I rec it. But yeah, you have to stick with it.
PS, there is this really cool other manga >> Blade of the immortal. Super dope. Is it the same as Red River? No. But there is a useless woman girl in it? And the ink drawings are art!
Started reading it because I heard it was a classic and I love ancient history. Couldn't make it halfway through vol1. I can handle useless. I can handle clueless. I can handle selfish. I can handle anxious. I can handle stupid. I can't deal with an MC who is all of these at the same time. I don't know why this is so well liked.
