I do understand this point of view when it comes to Gestella however with Jiyoung and Jiwoo I do not really agree. If we follow their story since the beginning, Jiwoo fell for her at first sight and she was intrigued by him since she met him, their romance isn’t obvious since the story doesn’t highlight it but Jiwoo is just more shy, but it’s clear how much they both respectively care and like each other. As for Kayden and Gestella, well to be fair Kayden is too stupid emotionally to realize Gestella’s feelings even. Whether their romance will develop properly or not, only time will tell.
Personally don’t like a lot of romances in action for the sole reason that I feel like they are heavily dependent on the female character’s feelings. Like even now it feels like the female characters (jiyoung and gestella) are more into their male counterparts than they are. And it’ll probably stay like that until the end.
For gestella, I kind of get since she’s a newer character so there’s room for development. But based on the development of the main couple, I have even less hope for gestella and Kayden cause Kayden is even less in touch with those types of emotions than the mc. So if the mc still feels underdeveloped, it’ll feel even more so with Kayden.
