The reason why Theo was imprisoned in the first place is because he illegally took in a blessed maiden, it goes against the laws of his world, is in theory the governing bodies did that the blessed maidens into account.
In the case of Momo and Umehiko, the military guy seems to be trying to abuse his power and get them back for his own "uses", but that part of the story is still progressing so we'll what happens.
No, I fully understand that what he did is illegal. It's more that in terms of the story I imagine that this very well is only happening because someone is uppsetty-spaggetti with him. And they said the reason why the blessed maidens for personal use where banned was because of the wars that broke out. It didn't seem like it was because of concern for the actual maidens themselves
I wasn't actually that mad about all that. More like just the bit about the punishment. And no shit I'll live (also I just curse a lot, it's not limited to my negative emotion). And for the last time fiction doesn't mean it doesn't need to make sense or have realism. Fiction just means it didn't fr fr happen. I don't understand this argument that it being fiction means it can do absolutely whatever especially when we have a lot of evidence to the contrary. And no, I don't want to be mad. I just like psychology A LOT and studied torture. I just find it's not something hard to represent a little more accurately. Realistic doesn't mean it has to be exactly like reality but based in it enough that it is understandable and relatable. The better argument would be that this is yaoi instead of throwing around the word "fiction". And I have every right to state my opinions so long as I'm not attacking or intentionally hurting others

Alright so that whole thing lowkey p*ssed me off. They acted as if death was the worst thing for mortals which we all know isn't true. Secondly solitary confinement is a form of psychological torture that goes way beyond "boredom" and "loneliness" (not that those don't suck or cause mental damage). Not to mention, its a small cramped space. He'd be physically uncomfortable (also another form of physical torture). His joints would ache and his muscles would cramp and stiffin. Eventually basic movement would be difficult and painful and he'd loose most his muscle mass (unless its just sorcery magic esthetic). Solitary confinement would brake most people and cause damage after a month. Time may go by quickly for him but he's definitely f*cked so this is a pretty harsh punishment. Not only that but they just take the sorcerer and ignore the blessed maiden. The person summoned unwillingly from another world now stuck in one with no preexisting system of their own surrounded by magic they don't understand. Like if Ume weren't lucky he'd f*cking die in this scenario so clearly the people's of this world's governing bodies don't care about the blessed maidens. And I definitely feel like Theo is only getting punished for political reasons having to do with him pissing someone off by being powerful and not an ally
