No hate, open to a discusiion. But pedophilia and shotacons are different. There's even a clear distinction between being a pedophile and a predator, as a pedophile could simply be someone with a mental illness due to their environment and trauma, and do not cause actual harm to kids, while a predator actively seeks out real children. Shotacons and lolicons do not condone real predators and are ones, some studies show that even in those that are shotacons and lolicons, very few actually become criminals, and even then, there are predators in every community, whether it be lolicons, non-lolicons, or even antis. Shota is simply a fetish, albeit a controversial one. Pedophilia is an attraction to real children, and being a predator is actively seeking and luring real children. #－.－)
lolicon/shotacon content especially in japan is very much inherintly connected with real life CSAM/ pedophila and, recently a person who made a video titled in "defense of lolis" or smth turned out to be a real life predator who commited real crimes against children , its not that such content will make u a pedo but porn is known to be super addictive making u seek out more and more extreme things , but as I said u cant separate them bc thats what the whole genere was build on
I do understand that, but there have also been a lot of antis who were revealed to be real life predators. This is just to say that what someone enjoys in fiction, especially in taboo topics, is not the same as in real life. Porn is addictive, but looking at real statistics, lolicons and shotacons don't have a "higher" rate of becoming predators at all. So while I do respect your opinion, I would also like to note what real research, and not just our preconceived notions, may give us to think, as someone who was also previously not as well informed. Your claim that the two cannot be separated is entirely unfounded, as again, most lolicons and shotacons have been shown to in fact have the ability to separate them.
I am not an anti or anything, these terms are stupid to use, and yea duh anyone can be a predator , i also said nothing ab the rates of these kind of ppl "becoming" predators , also once again I am not talking ab the people but the CONTENT i can name example of artists who use real life CSAM videos as a inspiration for their lolicon/shotacon artwork as much as 25 year ago back in time, not to mention how many of the ppl in the community are conservaties lol

However, I don't exactly get what you're getting at as I can also name non-lolicons who were revealed to be predators.
