Her sister is harsh but not wrong. She was happy when Maxi was finally free from their father and hoped that she never came back under his control. She is genuinely disappointed when Maxi comes back because she knew how much she suffered from beatings, etc. Rosetta suffers under their father but in a different way from Maxi.
I think the sister does care in her own way. Probably being raised by such a terrible father she’s probably not the best at being a comforting person
