She she looks similar to his mom because they both have Eastern continent somatic/face. They are both asian. So we can pressume most people in mansion are Westerners. She wouldn't have said Eastern continent being a thing otherwise if Eastern continent folks have a physical appearance different from them ( people in the mansion etc)

Well duh. *facepalm* MC doesn't know that until the latest chapter. Before she's been told she and her friend look like people from the Eastern continent. They both decided to go along with it and claim they are emigrants that went there to search job + faking to be from the Eastern continent make it difficult for others to question them of their origin and what town they are from. Usually people don't ask foreigner specific location of their native homeland if they are from the other continent.
