So she does run away but not for long he eventually found her like she runs away when she is pregnant and then 2 months after she ran away he caught her but at that point he was already in love with her and after she got back he remembered everything and confess to her the misunderstandings that happened back then. So basically he loved her but because of the curse that linked the two of them and if she got too close to him there was a chance that he might go berserk and kill her in the process and guess what it's all because of that silver haired bi- telling him about the curse and advising him about it that he should stay away from her for her good being meanwhilesearching for a way to undo the curse but he never found the way unless he killed the person who put the curse on them(uhum the on who cursed him was Gerard the illegitimate child brother of his father who got jealous and wanted to kill everyonein the family he was the one who put the same curse on his parents so they died becaus his dad went berserk). Then he regrets it deeply when she dies and then he goes berserk and kills people in his household(not the baby) and then found throughout that madness a way to go back through magic and did so. So yeah he loved her so much and her too he knew she loved him way too much because if she stops loving him the curse would uplift from her but even when he does everything so she hates him and stop loving him even hurting her feelings she never stopped loving him and the proof of it was the apparition of the curse on her body never went away. So yeah after that she still want to be separated because he chose to go back in time and left their son all alone which made her feel like their views of happiness didn't match and there's a lot of heavy emotional stuff going on it. I am still reading the novel so i can't tell you what comes after but that's basically what happened before regression.
