In the kiss me liar manhwa Dane had darker skin
Dane is tanned by his job and the sun.
I think that in the KML manhwa they overdid the tan, because I read even years ago, that some were convinced that Dane has a natural dark skintone, which isn't the case.
With his coloring ( redblond hair + blue yes) and looks, and then he was in the novel alway only decribed as tanned, it's actually clear that he is white. So what the KMIYC artists did was totally fine, since Dane is still tanned compared to Josh.
I actually anticipated that this would happen, that some would complain the he is white, but that is the fault of the KML manhwa artist and the imagination of some readers.
I found the novel translated on some site. A lot of comments were blasting Dane for being whitewashed in this manhwa. In the novel I read, Dane was described as "red-blond" hair and blue eyed. That's it. I'm so confused
