But little Daniel looks like Jinyoung. And I thought Jinyoung was Daniel's mom's brother? The way Daniel's grandmother accosted him when she first met up with him after he lost weight and the way his mom defended him makes me believe that.

I kinda wondered if Big Daniel was the body of the six fingered guy. Because that one time his body 'talked' to him the figure looked exactly like that guy.

Although the last name likely matches with his dad's Park is often portrayed as a fairly common last name there isn't it?

But wasn’t that Daniel’s dad’s family and his mum was an in-law, which is why they didn’t like Daniel and made his mum do everything when they went there? And they only started respecting them when Daniel lost weight.. I could be remembering wrong, it’s been years since I last read the first half of the manhwa. But I also thought there was a dead son and a son that “dishonoured” the family.. I’m probably getting mixed up with a whole different story tho lmao.

You're right about Daniel's grandma treating his mom like garbage. I had forgotten about that. Now I'm thinking that maybe his grandma treated his mom like garbage partly because she thinks his mom's brother is to blame for her son's death? I mean I'm not sure but I don't remember her treating her other daughters-in-law like that?

That's what I'm thinking anyways. Because if I also remember correctly some of his dad's family didn't have any idea who Jinyoung was. If he was from that side of the family I would have thought at least one of that group would have some memory of him or encountered rumours of him at some point? And the panel of Jinyoung with his family showed a young girl with Jinyoung and Daniel's dad and a seated woman whom I presume is Daniel's mom. I'm guessing the other girl is a sister because she looks too young to be a wife. The picture of Daniel's dad at Daniel's grandma's place though only ever had him with two other boys at most.

I think your depiction is more accurate, I really need to go back and read again to piece these puzzles together.

But that picture of Daniel’s dad, Jinyoung and Daniel’s mum in the last chapter.. Without remembering, I think he could be related to either of them. Daniel’s dad and Jinyoung look related based off their eyes but Jinyoung and Daniel’s mum look like they could be related based off their closeness.. With Daniel’s mum almost leaning into him and also their similar hair.. That could just be me looking way too into it though.

But idk how Daniel’s mum could’ve aged the way she did while Jinyoung looks practically the same.. This might tie back to what you said about her intentionally making Daniel overweight to make him look unrecognisable to his grandmother. Maybe she intentionally stopped looking after herself to make herself look different, to hide herself and Daniel? Not sure. There’s obviously some underlying plot point we don’t know about yet.

I definitely need to go back and read again and see if I missed anything.

It's so weird. Because I never really expected this kind of mystery to occur in a manhwa that up until relatively recently has felt so straightforward, to me, at least.

It’s definitely straight forward but there’s still a lot of plot points that we still don’t know anything about. Daniel and Crystal’s second bodies, Charles Choi and James Lee’s true motives, Daniel’s family, the truth of the past etc.. I mean I love having something to look forward to but I can’t WAIT for the reveals.

Just came back after re-reading. Jinyoung is Daniel’s maternal uncle and the grandma lost it in that one ch because she thinks Jinyoung was responsible for Daniel’s dad’s death. So you were right!

Well I read that too but I don't think that definitively makes him his maternal uncle but I think I'm at least making a good guess right?

Daniel’s dad had 2 brothers (based on the family photos which had the 3 brothers) and we have seen both brothers and their wives. The grandma also referred to Jinyoung by his name which like you said probably means he isn’t her son..

Also, reporter Kim told Daniel that his mum is the oldest of 3 siblings. So that would mean he would be the younger sibling of Daniel’s mum. He was in a high school uniform in the family picture of Daniel’s mum, Daniel’s dad and that other girl who we can assume would be the other sibling.. Would also explain their closeness in the flashbacks of Jinyoungs family.

I think something bad has happened between the siblings and Daniel’s dad since Daniel’s mum told him that she had no siblings and Daniel knows nothing about his dad.

That was some good digging! I must have missed that part of reporter Kim's dialogue. So, unless Daniel's mom is actually his maternal grandmother, then my guess would be that (she at least thought) both of her siblings were dead and that Daniel's dad's family believes it's Jinyoung's fault. Maybe it was Elite's, 'Crystal's' dad's, fault. And that's how he made Jinyoung break? Jinyoung blamed Elite in one or the previous chapter no? Or in order to keep Daniel she had to break with her siblings completely?
