bro u can js read the other comments...basically ML (jang taegun) mom was supposed to be married to yusil family which is MC's(jaeha) family but someone kidnapped her and raped her and abused her due to which yusil family said she's "tainted" and sold her off to someone else and kept selling her off basically made her prostitute equivalent which took so much toll on her mental health that she end up depressed and what not, and during that time she conceived ML, and then eventually comitted suicide in front of ML and ML hates yusil family and MC thinks he married into yusil family bc he wants revenge on that family. that's why ML said don't bring anything from his family and leave it behind (that's why MC left position of power in yusil family business making MCs brother jaeho the new heir of the family even though MC is more suited for the role) and that's why MC left it behind bc he js love ML so much ML is MCs first love in a sense. that's why he js yearns and yearns for ML bc he feels like why would ML marry an alpha if he can get any omega and now after hearing all this info MC thought that ML marrying him made sense bc ML wanted revenge on MC family so he's trying to look for something by marrying MC or something like that. hope i was able to explain well, i havent read the novel but by reading manhwa and reading comments i feel this is what happened.
