It tried to set up how valeri had been attracted to his brother cause those he was attracted to have similar features. Honestly his walls of hatred went up cause his love as a child to his only guardian/family was hit by violence, and never recieved or was recognized by the abuser. He found a place of refuge in the lienne family that went out as they faced challenges, ones coming from Ivor and thus Alexis. Throughout his life though, Alexis and his actions is what kept food on the table until Valeri could do so himself. Yet he was raped, and his body formed a "bond" often seen as a soul bond to one significant other. I would say this bond can have mental impacts to favor the other party to reject others omegas/alphas. Despite everything in his life somehow he knew his brother worked in mafia, but other than the beating never seen the realities. Making him feel grateful in some capacity that Alexis was trying to protect him. In the end alot of it could be attributed to how much importance Family has cause once that came into a werid role play while one was literally chained up as if they could imagine a normal life as a family and not the bull they are in.

Wow.... I can't believe this same author wrote Define the Relationship

Relationship wise it's nitpick about communication between people with different expressions but still love each other and doing their best to express and talk.
Define the relationship got the darker stuff in world building of grandpa. Who pushed mc to only sleep with people he decided (like the new york and omegas) and had even arranged a marriage candidates without anyone's express desire, only truly stopping when someone else in high society stepped in. This grand father had such a tight grip on the family the mc mom was afraid of being kinder in raising her child or grandpa would literally take custody of them and raise them the way she was.

I see what you mean, but from the little bit I saw, it kinda felt like uke was just brushing off any of seme's concerns by saying "ik what's best." I think there could have been better nuance in that aspect. Does the uke at least come around later on and acknowledge that his one sided decision making was wrong and he was being kinda disrespectful towards his younger brother?

They'll seperate cause there's more reveals about the past, but twisted cause it came from someone else who heard rumors. However uke won't reveal anything about the truth, and seme leaves with his boyfriend. Uke decides to turn himself in and try to rat out the mafia boss as much as possible to make it safe for seme. gets caught, so does the seme and bf. seme had escaped his imprisonment after hearing how uke the omega is gonna get violated by the bosses son. However by the time he makes it, they won't be reunited, and it won't be any reunion until the uke hears news about the seme health going down does it trigger. In fact they were in different countries, and seme health went down cause turns out hes the one obsessing over finding uke some how. He knows what he's doing is a crime, he sees himself as someone who can't do anything but criminal activity.
